It runs with the Moxie ikonpci driver - as modified by OYO - which must be installed on the host machine. Ikonex is a command line based utility program that can be used to test and exercise a Tahoma Technology (formerly Ikon Corporation) Hardcopy interface board and the attached printer/plotter. It is based on the Ikondma program written by Bill Simpson at Interface Consultants. This version of ikonex can be run from the command line with all parameters specified in the command line, or in interactive mode by starting as: ./ikonex -i Ikonex is self-documenting. ./ikonex or ./ikonex -h for usage information. Ikonex can output pre-formatted print and/or plot files (if available), manipulate plotter modes, send pulsed commands, set interface parameters such as handshake speed, and retrieve interface and plotter status. Data bytes may also be sent directly from the keyboard. The compressed zip file provided here includes the ikonex.c source file, the Moxie/OYO ikonctl.h header, and a pre-compiled executable. The executable was built with Visual Studio C++ 2008 Express Edition. It has been (BETA) tested on systems running Windows XP Pro, Windows 7 32-bit, and Windows 7 64-bit.
